Northeastern University warms up before the first ever game at JetBlue Park, which they lost 25-0 to the Red Sox.

They're not as common as they used to be, but Major League teams still host college teams each spring for exhibition games at their winter homes. This page lists the results of those recent contests and includes other non-traditional spring training games played in Cactus or Grapefruit League ballparks.

Additionally, MLB teams played 19 games against countries training for the World Baseball Classic. The Major League teams were 13-6 against the national teams.
